How to find more information about the sport of horseracing
The images of horses and people featured in Horseracing History on-line mostly date from the 1860s to the early 1950s. For more recent images, try one of the following websites:

The Museum is happy to undertake research, but since we are an independent Museum we make a charge of £10 per hour plus VAT. Please write to the Museum giving any details you have of the subject you would like us to research, especially approximate dates. Enclose a cheque for £11.75 made payable to the National Horseracing Museum. If your research is likely to take longer, we will contact you first. Please note that we may not always be successful in our search even though we have spent a considerable amount of time on your enquiry. Generally research is a manual and time consuming activity.
June 2008: DURING JUNE AND JULY THE MUSEUM WILL ONLY HAVE VERY LIMITED TIME TO RESPOND TO ENQUIRIES. IF WE RECEIVE ENQUIRIES DURING THIS PERIOD WE WILL ACKNOWLEDGE THEM AND GIVE AN ESTIMATED RESPONSE TIME. IF YOU CAN WAIT A FEW MONTHS BEFORE SUBMITTING ONE PLEASE DO SO.
Please note that there are hardly any records of stable staff. You are recommended to approach the relevant Record Office (in the case of Newmarket, this involves both Cambridgeshire and Suffolk).
