Description:

Mr Taylor Sharpe owned properties in Newmarket and the Baumber Park Stud near Horncastle in Lincolnshire. The best horse he bred was the 1875 Derby winner Galopin, whose dam, Flying Duchess, he had bought for only 80 guineas. He also bred the Cesarewitch winner Grey Tick, and Oberon, winner of the Lincolnshire Handicap.
