Description:
Sir George Bullough, a charming man, won a wartime Grand National with Ballymacad, but the very first animal bought for him by his flat trainer John Jarvis was Golden Myth, the Ascot Gold Cup and Eclipse Stakes winner. The team were also successful with his home-bred Campanula who won the 1000 Guineas and was fourth in The Oaks. Sir George was a member of the Jockey Club and National Hunt Committee, and Master of the Ledbury Foxhounds for several years. Together with John Jarvis he founded the Longholes Stud near Newmarket for the benefit of Golden Myth - who proved a dire disappointment in that sphere. Colours - cerise, purple sleeves.
