Description:

The son of a Welsh farmer, Owen Anthony rode 110 winners as a steeplechase jockey and was runner up in the 1913 Grand National on Royal Mail. As a trainer his horses won three Gold Cups, a Champion Hurdle, and a Grand National. After Golden Miller hit a downward spiral he was given the horse to train and won eight more races with him. He was well able to cope with the tantrums of the horse's owner, Hon Dorothy Paget.
