Description:

Count Frederic de Lagrange had strings of horses trained at Chantilly in France and at Phantom House in Newmarket by the brothers Harry and Tom Jennings. His racing empire, which he started with a partner Baron Niviere, was known as 'the Big Stable' and was funded by the fortune the Count inherited from his father. He bred Gladiateur from a crippled mare who was never trained.
