Description:

The photograph shows Golden Miller with trainer Basil Briscoe and jockey Gerald Wilson.

Described by journalist Sidney Galtrey as 'a god on four legs', Golden Miller will always be remembered as an 'all time great' of the steeplechasing world. His big race double of the Cheltenham Gold Cup and Grand National of 1934 remains a unique achievement, although Garrison Savannah came close in 1991 and L'Escargot took two Gold Cups in 1970 and 1971 and the Grand National four years later.
