Description:

Udaipur was successful in four races as a three-year-old, in her only season to race. She opened her account in no uncertain fashion by winning The Oaks by two lengths. She was sent off as a 10/1 chance in a field of a dozen, but although still a maiden she was an improving filly and found no trouble in the Coronation Stakes at the Royal meeting over a shorter distance.

Udaipur also won a race at Hurst Park and the Newmarket Oaks and was fourth to her owner's unconsidered Firdaussi in the St Leger. She bred the winners of seventeen races including Umiddad (Dewhurst Stakes and substitute war-time Gold Cup).
