Description:

Owner of four English Classic winners, three of which he bred himself, William Woodward also bred and owned two American Triple Crown winners, Gallant Fox and Omaha. He was elected an honorary member of the British Jockey Club in 1950 and had been the Chairman of the New York equivalent for many years.
