Dates & jockeys of important wins:

St Leger
1907  William Halsey

Description:

Brigadier General Baird's Wool Winder won nine races. He was only beaten once as a three-year-old. Unfortunately the 'once' was the Derby, where jockey Otto Madden gave him a bad ride. However, he took the St Leger with ease. Wool Winder was later a successful sire in Austria.
