Dates & jockeys of important wins:

1000 Guineas
1928  Joseph Childs

Description:

A slightly temperamental filly, Scuttle was patiently ridden by Joseph Childs in the 1000 Guineas. After playing up and being poorly away, she was not rushed but made up ground coming out of the dip and had a length to spare at the winning post. Toboggan, who had been third to her, turned the tables in the Oaks and it was realised that Scuttle did not truly stay 1 1/2 miles. In all she won 5 races and gave King George V his first and only Classic winner.

Poor Scuttle died at stud, whilst foaling her fourth foal, which did not survive either.
