Dates & jockeys of important wins:

Oaks
1930  Gordon Richards

Description:

Rose of England, bought from the breeder of Gainsborough for 3,100 guineas as a yearling, won just one race for her owner Lord Glanely, but that was the Oaks in which the favourite Fair Isle failed to stay and rank outsiders filled second and third places. At stud, Rose of England bred eight winners including Chulmleigh (St Leger).
