Description:

Len Cundell, the son of a farmer, rode as an amateur and took out a training license in 1907. During World War I he was with the Remount Service. Noble Star (Jockey Club Cup and Cesarewitch) was the best horse Len ever trained, but others include Sweet Polly (King's Stand Stakes), Grindleton and Windermere (Cork & Orrery Stakes) and Ox and Ass (winner of the first running of the John Porter Stakes).
