Wing, Morny (1897 - 1965)
Jockey (J)
Description:
The nine times Champion Jockey in Ireland, Morny Wing was born in Yorkshire and named after Morny Cannon, whom his father idolised. He reckoned that the Liverpool Handicap specialist China Cock was the horse that put him on the map and displayed the colt's photograph in pride of place at his home. Morny Wing won the Irish Derby six times.
