Description:

Lord Fingall, breeder of Cloister, succeeded to his title in 1881. After serving in the South African war, he was State Steward to the Viceroy of Ireland and Master of the Horse to the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland, The Earl of Dudley.

In 1894 Lord Fingall took a trip to Australia to recover from a hunting accident. With a financier he met on the voyage, he set up a gold mine company, but since there was no gold after all, the company collapsed.
