Description:
St Frusquin won 9 of his 11 starts and was runner up to Persimmon in the Derby. He later beat Persimmon in the Princess of Wales's Stakes at Newmarket. He was a good-looking colt, but plagued by bouts of rheumatism. He was also a success at stud, being leading sire in 1903 and 1907, and producing St Amant, Rosedrop (dam of Gainsborough), Quintessence (dam of Clarissimus); Rhodora, and Santa Fina (dam of Galloper Light). |
