1919  Grand Steeplechase de Paris   Anthony Escott

Description:

A massive horse with a bad mouth, which made him very hard to hold, Troytown's days were shortlived. He had to be put down after breaking a leg in the Grand Steeplechase de Paris in 1920, a race he had won the previous year.

Troytown won four races in his short career, including the Grand National in 1920, on which occasion he went round again to the start before his jockey could pull him up.
