Description:

Jeddah, the big leggy half-brother to the Oaks heroine Canterbury Pilgrim, was the 100/1 winner of the Derby and his stable's unconsidered second string. He went on to win at Ascot and ran a brave race with a strained suspensory ligament to finish runner up in the St Leger. Jeddah made no mark as a sire, begetting only 19 individual winners in his stud career.
