1927  Ascot Gold Cup   Bernard Carslake

Description:

Bred at the Tickford Park Stud, Foxlaw was sold as a foal to Sir Abe Bailey, a partner of his breeder. The horse came to his peak in his four- and five-year-old seasons, where his forte was the staying races including the Ascot Gold Cup. In his short stud career he sired horses as stout as himself, including Foxbridge, the Champion Stallion in New Zealand for eleven consecutive seasons.
